The Complete Book of Home Organization by Toni Hammersley
Packed full of inspirational pictures, this takes you through your home room by room, and gives you a detailed action plan for sorting it out once and for all. The kitchen and home office sections are particularly useful, as the author understands how we use these, and divides them up into effective zones. Having a specific mail drawer in my office has been a game changer, no more hunting for stamps.

Design Mom by Gabrielle Stanley Blair
This book perfectly blends organisation and design. The author gets that as a busy family you will naturally have a lot of stuff. There is no pressure to be minimalist here. Instead she suggests a variety of practical strategies which are also visually pleasing on how to set up and organise your home. You don't have to sacrifice looks for function. This is a book I go back to again and again.
